Ubuntu …. Addio !!!!!

     UBUNTU 11.04 . è stato rilasciato il 28/04/2011,  come annunciato  nella nuova versione  è stato  privilegiato il desktop Unity  al   collaudatissimo Gnome .

Al di là delle disquisizioni tecniche,  lo Unity può  essere gradito addirittura  insuperabile, o ritenuto  come da me  ed altri una scelta sbagliata ed inopportuna.

Sia chiaro siamo in democrazia è prendiamo atto che Mark Shuttleworth è il padrone del vapore in Canonical e che in Ubuntu la favola del ” free software ” è finità !!!!!. Canonical è una Holding !!!!  e  il sig. Shuttleworth  decide il percorso  che deve avere  Ubuntu.    Il  capo ha deciso Unity e Unity è stato.  Alla faccia  di ogni principio , non ha  ascoltato minimamente  gli umori e le istanze della comunità:

Di fronte a tale ” democrazia ” una sola risposta ….. D I S I S T A L L A Z I O N E  !!!!!! ,    togliere materialmente Ubuntu da ogni  computer.  Operazione che materialmente ho fatto.

Ubuntu, Addio  e senza rimpianti. !!!!!!!

    I share your feelings. I’m afraid Mandriva might do something similar with the Rosa interface, although I must admit that the Rosa panel can be taken out rather quickly…

    Apparently, Mark Shuttleworth is thinking about broadening Ubuntu’s acceptance among those who are more used to cell phone interfaces than to desktops (the newest generations.)

    While that one might be a really smart move in business terms, it is indeed sad that Canonical is progressively disregarding its community while pushing its ideas. Canonical is treating its community as customers…that’s not a good idea. Free Software is not supposed to work like that.
